Texas Hill Country Vineyards
The Texas Hill Country is home to over 50 vineyards and continues to grow in popularity and prestige as vineyards, breweries, and distillers spring up at an incredible rate. Fredericksburg is the heart of the Hill Country vineyard scene, with a handful of tasting rooms located in the downtown area, and many of the vineyards located close. Fredericksburg is not the only destination for the wine lovers in the Texas Hill Country. Other towns with quality vineyards include Marble Falls, Johnson City, Dripping Springs, Wiberly and New Braunfels among others
The Texas Wine Collective located in Fredericksburg Texas hosts many events throughout the year, including wine trails, events at its headquarters, and a wide range of live music. Many of the events feature wines paired with great food, typically with some sort of theme. Most of the events require reservations or tickets purchased online before the day of the event. The events frequently sell out, and the ticket sales start at a specific time as notes on the website.
Here are a few of our favorites that we are considering attending this year. For a complete list of the Texas Wine Collective’s events check out their event calendar on their website.
There are 4 hosted trail events each year, and a few festivals dedicated to everything wine.
Four passport events provide the wine tourist a self guided tour where you can taste up to four vineyards per day over the course of each event, as well as receive exclusive discounts on bottle purchases
