One of the coolest towns in the Texas Hill Country, Fredericksburg has a thriving downtown strip for shopping, wine tasting, bars and live music. There are a plethora of events year round including a Wine Festival, Crayfish Festival, live music, October Feast, trade shows, and more. Fredericksburg is truly one of the grandest gems of tourism in the Texas Hill Country. 

It’s a little over an hour drive from Austin due West into The Hills . It is more of an antiques and wine tasting destination than the outdoors lake community also in the area. It has some of the nicer B&B and Air B&B listing in the region. Hotel rooms can get absurdly high during the big events. Other popular options include limo and bus trips or the day out of the big cities.

There are a few very cool music venues out in the middle of no where around Fredericksburg, Luckenbach being the original and famous one. The Crossroads is a really cool bar and music venue that typical has shows Wednesday through Sunday. Once famous for it peaches, Fredericksburg now has a cornucopia selection of vineyards breweries, and distilleries to visit just outside of town. The town is home to a quality selection of tasting rooms and a other bars and shopping.
