Spring Break in the Texas Hill Country
There is a new ghost town like music destination in the Texas Hill County, giving Luckenbach a little competition. It looks a lot like Luckenbach and is also located just outside of Fredericksburg. They have a fancy website, and they are having a spring break fest for those looking to take the risk and have some fun. They have a handful of cool events hitting all the classic genres lined up for 2021. Luckenbach is pretty sweet, this place looks like a a new hip cooler version. Can’t wait to check it out. Anywho, on tap for March is a Polo and Hot Air balloon festival, complimented with the helicopter rides. Talk about super fun. Yep!

Festival is Coming
2020 is now officially behind us and the much needed vaccine is now available to a lucky few. For many others the festivities and promise of a “normal” 21 seem close. Some even are officially canceled or virtual in 21, a few are already planned, while others are still in a wait and see mode. Cowboy Mardi Gras will kick things off with a band in the Hill Country, SXSW is online, ACL and the title wave of South Texas Octoberfest are anticipating a Covid free world. When the world finally open back up, it should be the party of the century.
A trip to Spider Mountain
It’s been tough to keep the fun blogging spirits up and find cool things to do in the Texas Hill Country during Covid. During the last week of September it was the owners Birthday so we had to make sure we found something fun to occupy our time. We decided to head to the upper part of Lake Buchanan with our boat to the Thunderbird Resort on Spider Mountain. Spoiler alert, it’s awesome and we can’t wait to go back.
